something meaningless i used to be obsessed with

 A time where I was obsessed with something meaningless was when I probably was younger and thought that unicorns and mermaids were real. I would often spend my time doing research and mostly believing what I was reading and seeing it is definitely not something that i would ever be proud of. The fact that as kids we kind of believe everything that we heard or saw.

 The early days of when I had just started working at my new job were off to a great start everyone seemed to get along with each other, but man was I mistaking. After a week or two of starting at my new job all the managers would be in their own little circle but would also bud into the rest of the employee's business.
